About
OUR VISION
Our firm only handles financial cases and focuses exclusively on these individuals. Part of our learning process over the years is that a consumer-based firm really can’t do more than one area of practice well. That is why we stopped practicing in other areas of law. We are laser-focused on solving our client’s financial problems only. We don’t want anything distracting us from this goal, so we only accept financial cases. It’s tempting at times to handle other cases that routinely present themselves, but we know from the past that this will only distract us from what we are already very good at, which would be a disservice to our clients. We are very content being the leaders in financial cases only!
At Sun Coast Law, we don’t just handle your financial case. We have a proven process that starts immediately upon hiring us. Upon retaining our firm, we will immediately get the collection calls to stop! We have a proven method of doing this that no other firm provides. We also created a path to get your credit back. Solving your debt problem is a major hurdle that must be overcome, but that alone is not enough. If you don’t know what to do, you could be free of your debt problem but have horrible credit that could take years to improve. Buying any big ticket item or just getting a credit card could be impossible with bad credit. Maybe even worse, you will be paying an interest rate that is sky-high!
The bottom line is that you need peace from your creditors as you go through this process and good credit again. Our proven process is able to help you accomplish both of these in addition to overcoming your debt problem through our legal representation. We view our job as more than just addressing what needs to be done legally to overcome your debt problem, you also need to get back to financial success as quickly as possible. We have a proven process to do that!

MATT ENGLETT Of Counsel
Mr. Englett graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Florida Southern College in 1994. He then entered law school at Mississippi College School of Law and graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 1998. He became a member of the Florida Bar the same year. He first worked as a prosecutor for the State Attorney’s office before starting his own practice with two other partners. Shortly after starting his own firm in the early 2000’s he began practicing real estate law. In 2008, as a result of the great financial crises, Mr. Englett was the first attorney in Florida to start practicing in the area of foreclosure defense, loan modifications and short sales. He is commonly referred to as the attorney that “invented” this area of practice.
Mr. Englett also started practicing in the area of bankruptcy as well during the same time frame as bankruptcy goes hand and glove into this new area of practice. Mr. Englett grew his firm from 100 employees and 12 million in annual revenue to over 300 employees and 50 million in annual revenue in quick fashion. In 2016, he split up from his partners and closed the firm. He continues to practice in real estate and bankruptcy law. He has represented thousands of clients over the years in these areas of practice. He currently works as a bankruptcy attorney in an “of counsel” capacity with Suncoast Law mainly in the area of bankruptcy. He also maintains a separate real estate practice that represents both corporations and some consumers throughout the State of Florida.
